Arabic Language

Initially, the Arabic language will be used to reinforce the Qu’ran reading by ensuring that students recognise the letters in both their isolate and joint forms.

Once these have been mastered, the class will progress to conversational Arabic, enabling the children to meet, greet, and hold simple discussions.

Qu’ran Reading

Children will begin the foundation stage by following a structured programme of learning the letters in their isolated form, vowels, recognition and formation of words which will eventually equip them to progress reading the Qu’ran.

Qu’ran Recitation

Each level will have a set of Suras which they will be taught to recite throughout the year.  Children will be tested on a regular basis for correct recitation and pronunciation.

Islamic Studies

Children will learn the basics of Islam including:

* Five Pillars of Islam

* Names and times of the Five Daily Prayers

* Wudu and basic parts of prayers

* What are the two Eids

* What is Ramadan? What is Hajj?
